About Us at Flourish!

We're two passionate mums who love teaching art and craft to our own children.  So much so we started Flourish Art Collective to share our passion for creativity with everyone!  

Merryn Bowden has a Masters Degree in Fine Art (ceramics) and a Master of Teaching (Secondary -Visual Arts / TESOL). She has a background in teaching English as a Second Language and Art classes to both adults and children. She taught in language schools in the Middle East and TAFE NSW in Australia.  She holds a current First Aid Certificate and a current Working With Children Check. Merryn is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm for the creative arts; and making art history accessible and engaging for children. She also has a special interest in assisting students with literacy support.

Natalie Yuen has a BA (Psychology/Education) Dip Ed Infants/Primary and is an arts & craft fiend!  She thoroughly enjoys teaching kids fun art/craft projects and loves seeing kids' smiles light up as they work on their projects and achieve their end results.   She has a current Working With Children Check and also holds a certificate in TEFL.  Natalie created and owned Bubbabar, a concept Café for Mums and Bubs; and was known to don a superhero costume whilst entertaining the kids with play, dance and arts/craft!    Natalie has over twenty years business experience in the Film and Television industry specialising in Children's brands such as Roger Hargreaves' "Mr Men", Enid Blyton and she also set up regional offices for Paramount Pictures, Chorion PLC and Echo Bridge Entertainment.
