About Flourish

 Merryn is the principal art teacher and director of Flourish Art Collective. With a background in fine art and visual art teaching she is a  passionate mum who loves teaching art and craft.  Flourish Art Collective was borne out of a desire to share this passion for all things creative with the local communities in the Inner West. Friday Art Club in Glebe, and Saturday morning art classes in Leichhardt is where the action is happening!

Merryn has a teaching background and many years experience guiding young people and adults in the classroom. As a mum to primary age children Merryn sees first hand the joy that being creative can bring!

Flourish Art Collective is a place to learn, grow, explore, experiment, make friendships and have fun. There is certainly something for everyone at Flourish Art Collective! 

 

Merryn Bowden has a Masters Degree in Fine Art and a Master of Teaching (Secondary) -Visual Arts / TESOL. She has a background in teaching English as a Second Language and Art classes to both adults and children. Merryn has taught in language schools in the Middle East and TAFE NSW in Australia.  She holds a current First Aid Certificate and a current Working With Children Check. Merryn is passionate about sharing her enthusiasm for the creative arts; and also making art history accessible and engaging for children. She also has a special interest in assisting students with literacy support. Merryn also teaches in primary school.
